About Joe

A picture of Joe Rodgers on a couch with a laptop on his lap.

Joe is a white male, in his 20’s, mostly of Scottish / Irish descent. He has dark brown hair, blue-green eyes, and stands 5 foot, 11-3/4 inches high.

A native Georgian (USA), Joe was born in Albany (Dougherty County), but has spent most of his time in Woodstock and Canton (Cherokee County). He has also lived, for brief times, in St. Louis, MO, Canton, OH, Athens, GA, and Coral Springs, FL.

Family

He is a child of the late Robert “Bob” Clark RODGERS and Joyce “J” Anne (Smith) RODGERS JONES. Bob was from Ohio and Joyce from Atlanta. Joe also had one 3-year-older brother, named Joshua “Josh” Anthony RODGERS. Josh suffered from leukemia, and passed away at the age of 12. Thanks to his father, Joe is proud to have two half-brothers. Their names are Chris and Michael. They’ve given Joe lots of wonderful nephews.

He also has a half-sister by Joyce. At birth she was named Lisa Michelle SMITH. He knows little about her and is currently trying to find her. She was born in Atlanta, presumably at Grady Memorial Hospital, on July 1, 1972. She would be 33 today. It is possible that her records may be held by Catholic Social Services. If you have any information about her or are her, PLEASE contact him or go through the Georgia Adoption Reunion Registry or the International Soundex Reunion Registry.

In late 2000, Joe started a committed relationship with a girl he met at a Waffle House, nearly two years before. That girl, Jessie Reagin, became his wife in April of the following year and is now the light of his life. They just celebrated their fifth year anniversary in April 2006 and are enjoying the new addition to their family, Sylvianne “Sylvi” Jolene RODGERS, born in October 2006.

Employment / Education

In spring of 1997, Joe graduated from Sequoyah High School. He later worked as a head housekeeper at a local extended stay hotel, a sales clerk at an office supply store, and then became a jack-of-all-trades at a art gallery/publishing company. Once he got married, he made a decision to continue his education, and started at Georgia Highlands College (previously Floyd College) in the Fall of 2001. He later transferred to and graduated from Kennesaw State University in December 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry.
