About Hintza & Jake
Hintza (hĭnt zä)
Hintza is a seven-year-old Weimaraner. She was born on October 22, 1998. Her name comes from the movie A Far Off Place starring Reese Witherspoon and Ethan Embry, which happens to be based on a book by Laurens van der Post. Hintza was the name of the dog in the movie and was played by Percois Patch of Shangara, a Rhodesian Ridgeback. She is also known as Snintza, Hintza Bo Bintza, Bookie (būk’ē), Snook (sn?k), and Snookie (sn?k’ē). You may have seen or read about her breed before.
She is generally a fidgety and somewhat obstinate dog. She likes to pace the room to find anything out of the ordinary and then proceed to set it straight. The window is one of her favorite places to be when she is not right at Jessie’s feet. Protective about her food, she tends to gain and lose about 5 vanity pounds every so often.
She enjoys chewing on bones, stuffed animals, and underwear. She also occasionally snores, is very flatulent, and sometimes practices coprophagia.
Jake
This is Jake (AKA Jake the Snake, Snakers, Jaker Snaker Pie, Jakerificus). He is a German Shorthaired Pointer, although he has been accused of not looking like one. He is rather small for his breed.
He likes to play with tennis balls, toys with bells inside, and stuffed animals. Some of his favorite things in life are snuggling, having his ears rubbed, and jumping. He gets more air than Mike Jordan.
Jake usually gets in your face when he first sees you. When Jake wants something he sits real proper and begs in a civilized way. When he does this he kind of looks like Alfred (Michael Gough) in Batman.
He sleeps a lot too.
