New Wireless Provider
Now that we have been fully switched from our previous wireless provider I need to review what kind of options we have on our cellphones.
Here were the benefits of the old plan.
- National coverage
- Calls to any who used the same provider didn’t count towards minutes usage
- Weeknight (7:00am-6:00pm) and weekend (Friday 7:00pm until Monday 6:00am) usage didn’t count towards minutes usage
- Minutes were minutes. It didn’t matter whether it was local or long distance
- No extra roaming fee charge. It didn’t matter whether the provider displayed was my provider or not
The thing I loved most about that plan was how they didn’t really differentiate between local and long distance. This meant I could call all my out of town relatives as if it were a local call. Not that I actually took advantage of that as much as I wanted. I thought that maybe I would schedule in some time every couple days to keep up with an out of town relative. That didn’t happen. Hopefully the new provider doesn’t distinguish local from long distance calling either and then I could fulfill my goal.
