Ok, I’ve officially been through the ringer the last few weeks with regards to my health. Despite this, it is my great joy to announce that I have survived watching after school kids at a local daycare for 1 month. I whimped out at Discovery Point several years ago when I got sick. But this time, I hung in there and think I’ll probably stick with it until after the new year.
It’s not the easiest thing in the world to do. Mostly, the job requires honing your “strong, loud, and serious voice” without scaring anyone into hating you. The director’s kids, really, are some of the hardest to manage. Although, this one kid who no longer attends was such a big pain in the buttocous, that everyone’s schedules had to be rearranged to suit his moods.
Enough said. I’ll let you all know when I’m thinking about a change. Although there has already been talk about me taking a job at a private Orthodox school as a biology teacher after I graduate.
